![]() Melee and snipers are very similar to BF1 but are patched so that some melee weapons do the same as their counter parts, so no melee weapon is better than the other (but the cricket bat makes a funny noise so it’s automatically superior). Gameplay is also quite unique too as now players can slide (which they are bringing back in BF2042) to have briefs boosts of speed, yet it’s unmonitored and is easily abused by experienced players. Planes are also simplified compared to BF4’s jets which took me months to be considered meh in, but in BFV planes are easy to control and can be absolutely devastating in the hands of even a decent pilot (but absolutely FKing annoying in the hands of a grinding expert pilot), yet are easily shot down if even a meh player gets a hold of a well placed AA Gun/Turrent/Tank as these planes are not very fast but they are dutiable and can fly pretty high. It does have redeeming qualities: such as the vehicles are made simple to control and have the high chance of being almost unbeatable behemoths in some areas on maps while also being a hindered large target in other spots. But my favorite was the Under No Flag story as you not only grow (eventually) fond of the characters provided and their story, but also unusually has dabbles of humor as well as having a free roam area!īFV though is not as good in the multiplayer department, it’s still fun but it has issues: unbalanced matches as a conquest match may have a team of 12 against a team of 32 or more, one team may have all the high ranking players while one team may only consist of low level players, weapon missions (for gun skins) are painful spawn point which is really far from the first flag. The strongest story in my opinion was either the Last Tiger or Tirailleur, as you grow for the characters and their struggles. The weakest story though I would have to say is the Nordlys story, but it was still pretty fun gameplay wise. When I played battlefield 1’s campaign I sort of got emotionally attached to a few characters and even their stories…īattlefield 5 kind of is a middle, it’s not as good or emotionally investing as battlefield 1’s stories but it is still pretty good for a BF campaign. I played battlefield 4’s campaign and liked it a lot but I wasn’t really invested into the story or characters, but still a fun campaign (except for the water swimming part, or when Irish complains, which he does alot). The BFV campaign is indeed fun and even pulls at the emotional spectrum strings in a few instances, but I would recommend BF1 campaign above BFV. ![]() Take part in the largest tank assault of the war by the Aisne riverbanks.TLDR: I recommend BFV, but it does have issues such as match balancing and map team favoritism. Engage in the savage fighting around the furnace of Verdun, and descend into the bowels of Fort de Vaux, where barbarous battles rage in the gas-filled corridors. Play as one of the most ferocious armies in WW1 – the French.
